About the Author

Andrea Bonior, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist on the faculty of Georgetown University, and the longtime voice behind the mental health advice column “Baggage Check” in the Washington Post Express, which appears weekly in several newspapers nationwide. She also writes Psychology Today’s “Friendship 2.0” blog, and her expertise has appeared in media such as the New York Times, USA Today, NPR, Forbes, Mic.com, Glamour, Self, MSNBC, and CNN. Her first book, The Friendship Fix, explored how to maximize true friendship in the age of social media. She is a television contributor and speaker on relationships, work-life balance and mental health issues. She lives outside of Washington, DC, with her husband and three children.
